This Refunds & Returns Policy applies to purchases made directly from outasense.com. It is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms & Conditions. Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.

1) Eligibility for Returns and Refunds

A. Statutory cooling-off period (UK / EU consumers)

If you are a consumer in the UK or European Union and purchased the Device online or at a distance, you have a legal right to cancel your purchase within 14 days of receiving the Device, without giving any reason.

To exercise this right, you must inform us of your decision to cancel within 14 days of delivery. You then have a further 14 days to return the Device to us.

You may handle the Device only to the extent necessary to establish its nature, characteristics, and functioning. We may deduct from your refund any loss in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary, where permitted by law.

You may notify us of your cancellation by email or by making a clear written statement. We do not require you to use a specific form.

B. Voluntary 30-day change-of-mind returns

In addition to statutory rights, we offer a voluntary 30-day change-of-mind return from the date of delivery, provided that:

  • the Device is unused or in like-new condition;
  • all original accessories, manuals, and packaging are included;
  • the Device has not been registered, permanently installed, or modified; and
  • proof of purchase is provided.

This voluntary return is offered in addition to, and does not replace, your statutory consumer rights.

C. Faulty, defective, or not as described

If the Device is faulty, defective, or not as described, you have legal rights under applicable consumer laws. Remedies may include repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund, depending on the circumstances and jurisdiction.

Please contact us as soon as reasonably possible after discovering a fault.

2) Non-Eligibility (Where Permitted by Law)

Returns or refunds may be refused or reduced where legally permitted if:

  • the return request is made outside the applicable return period;
  • the Device shows damage caused by misuse, improper installation, power anomalies, or unauthorised modification;
  • parts, accessories, documentation, or serial labels are missing, altered, or tampered with; or
  • the Device shows excessive wear beyond reasonable inspection.

This section does not apply to statutory rights relating to faulty, non-conforming, or misdescribed goods.

3) How to Request a Return

To request a return or refund, contact us at info@outasense.com and include:

  • your order number and purchase date;
  • your name and delivery address;
  • the reason for the return (optional for statutory cancellations).

Do not send items back without authorisation, as this may delay or prevent processing.

4) Return Shipping, Duties, and Fees

  • Change-of-mind returns: you are responsible for return shipping costs.
  • Faulty or incorrect items: we will cover reasonable return shipping costs where required by law.

Original delivery charges are refundable only where required by law.

For international orders, customs duties, import taxes, VAT/GST, and clearance fees are generally non-refundable. You may be able to reclaim them from your local customs authority.

If a return shipment incurs customs duties, taxes, or fees payable by us (for example due to carrier billing practices or incorrect declarations), such amounts may be deducted from the refund where legally permitted.

5) Inspection and Refund Processing

Returned Devices are inspected upon receipt. Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.

Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving the returned Device or proof of return, whichever is earlier, in accordance with applicable law.

Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute before completing the return process may delay or suspend refund processing.

6) Exchanges

Exchanges are handled as replacements and are subject to availability. Contact us to arrange an exchange or replacement.

7) Consumer Rights (Worldwide)

Consumer protection laws vary by country or region. Nothing in this policy limits or excludes rights that cannot be waived or restricted under applicable law.
